My Music System
Now that I don't play as much music, I have been putting more effort into listening to it. This has led me to trying to assemble a stereo system which can give me the same sort of satisfaction as hearing good music performed well in a live setting. Unfortunately, this is an ideal which is hard to achieve, yet the attempt is expensively addictive. My quest for a satisfying sound system that does not cost more than a new car has led me to the following somewhat eclectic set-up:
- Creek 5350SE integrated amplifier
- Paradigm Reference Studio 60 speakers
- Marantz DV6400 universal disc player
- Sumiko Project Perspective turntable
- Sumiko Blue Point Special phono cartridge
- Monolithic Sound PS-1 phono pre-amp and HC-1 power supply
- Parasound T/DQ-1600 AM/FM Tuner
- Panamax MAX-5300EX power conditioner/protector
- Sennheiser HD464 headphones
- Audioquest interconnects
- Tributaries speaker cable
