My Best Friend

by Charles — Categories: Uncategorized6 Comments

I recently discovered a lump on my best friend Noggin which the veterinarian
determined needed to be removed. You can keep track of his progress on this page. We’d appreciate any prayers, positive vibes, and/or incantations on Noggin’s behalf that he get through this OK and the biopsy comes up negative.

As you might imagine, Noggin will have the bulk of my attention in the near future over comparatively trivial things like this blog.

[2009/01/27: Figured I should update this main article to let any first-time readers know that Noggin made it through the operation OK and the growth was benign.]

That’s really sad :(, best of wishes to you and your good friend. I have a dog, too, and I lost him once and it was horrible. Fortunately, someone found him (he was on the doorstep of the apartment building I lived in, and I lost him a long way from there!) and me, my family, and the dog were extremely happy to reunite. Anyway, I really hope Noggin will get well and the tests will give a negative result. Take care :)

The doctor says the operation went well, and I’ll be bringing him home in a few hours. (Hooray!) Now I’ll be splitting my time between helping him recuperate and worrying about what the biopsy result will be.

Noggin is back home now, sleeping with his head on my foot. He’s tired, sore, and perhaps a bit PO’ed that I can’t give him any food or water yet; but I’m happier. Now we just have to wait out the lab results while I take care of his recovery.

Very glad to hear about the progress. I wish you the best of luck with the test results. Keep us informed :)

I’m very, very happy for you. I was checking this blog post and Noggin’s page every few hours to check on any progress. Really glad to see he’s healthy! Best Christmas gift ever, eh? :)
I wish you both the happiest (and healthiest) holidays and a happy and successful new year! Cheers!

P.S. Noggin looks really funny with his parabolic collar on :)
